Edit PDF Files Online
Add text, draw annotations, highlight, rotate or delete pages — all in your browser. No uploads. No account. Completely private.
How to edit a PDF online
Click the upload zone or drag a PDF file onto it. Once loaded, you'll see all pages rendered in the main area with a thumbnail sidebar on the left. Use the toolbar at the top to switch between tools:
- Select — navigate and scroll. Click thumbnails to jump to any page.
- Text — click anywhere on a page to place a text box. Adjust font size and colour in the options strip. Drag placed text to reposition it.
- Draw — freehand annotation with adjustable colour and stroke width. Draw anything over any page.
- Highlight — click and drag to create a transparent highlight rectangle over a region.
Use the per-page rotate buttons (↺ ↻) to rotate individual pages. Click the trash icon to hide a page from the export. Drag thumbnails in the sidebar to reorder pages. Press Download PDF to generate and save the modified document.
What can you edit in a PDF?
This tool focuses on non-destructive annotation: it adds a new layer of content on top of the original PDF without altering its existing text or images. You can add typed text in any colour and size, draw freehand lines or shapes, highlight rectangular areas, rotate pages in 90° steps, permanently remove pages from the export, and change the page order.
Privacy and security
The editor runs entirely in your web browser using two open-source libraries: PDF.js (developed by Mozilla for rendering) and pdf-lib (for editing and exporting). Your PDF file is loaded into browser memory and never transmitted over the network. This means the tool works even without an internet connection after the first page load, and is safe to use for confidential contracts, financial documents, or personal records.
